On the "Home for the Holidays" LCDQ holiday walk, Bausman & Company hosted an exhibit of extraordinary silver. Included was the modernist 1953 Miss America and Miss Universe crowns made by silversmith Allan Adler. Since the early 40's the Allan Adler Studio has been producing handwrought sterling silver sought by collectors all over the world. Mr. Adler's grandson, Danny Allan Parsel, is the 7th generation silversmith and continues this California legacy. A special tea and coffee service made in 1947 was also shown prior to its being loaned to Los Angeles County Museum of Art for their 2011 California design exhibit. Roxanne and Hannah Packham, relatives of Allan Adler, signed their book, Inspired Design, which chronicles some of their family history.
