Berlin from Above
Looking from a northeastern position towards central parts of Berlin. I estimate that the altitude here is somewhere between 2,000m and 3,000m.
To the left of the picture's center, you can see the TV Tower at Alexanderplatz. To the top right of that one, the green area, that's the huge park "Tiergarten". Tegel Airport (TXL) and Tegel Lake are near the top right corner of this image.
In the top left area of this photo, you can identify the Havel lakes and Wannsee Lake, which are located in southwestern parts of Berlin. Even closer to the top left corner, the hardly identifyable area of buildings, that's Potsdam, just outside of Berlin.
Picture taken on June 21, 2005, on a EuroWings flight from Berlin-Schonefeld Airport (SXF) to Nuremberg to attend the FIFA Confed Cup 2005 group match between Germany and Argentina (2-2).
The plane took off from SXF - which is located just outside of Berlin's southern city limits - in an eastern direction and then, for whatever reasons, made a wide left circle, flying over central Berlin, to finally head south to Nuremberg. Anyhow, I appreciated this opportunity to take some pictures!

Berlin Wall from Above
Looking down on the Berlin Wall and into East Berlin from Axel-Springer-Hochhaus. Melting snow created a haze which spoiled a great view of East Berlin.
