Water is the ubiquitous chemical substance, composed of hydrogen and oxygen,
that is essential for the survival of many known forms of life.
In typical usage, water refers only to its liquid form or state,
but the substance also has a solid state, ice, and a gaseous state,
water vapor or steam. Water covers 71% of the Earth's surface On Earth,
it is found mostly in oceans and other large water bodies, with 1.6% of water
below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor,
clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air),
and precipitation. Oceans hold 97% of surface water, glaciers and

La circulation de l’eau au sein des differents compartiments terrestres est decrite par le cycle de

So I baked yesterday. I don't really know why. I just found a recipe for vegan cake, and then I decided to make it. I didn't want to eat it. Just make it.

Anyway, I'd originally made a fruit glaze to serve with it, but it didn't look good in pictures (too dark, since it was made of mixed fruit, and had too many blueberries), so I bought some (non-vegan, I imagine) icing today just to make it look prettier for the picture. At least this time there's a bit of contrast between the icing and the cake. (Messy, though, since I didn't clean up the crumbs after cutting a piece to try to photograph it on a red plate. Which didn't work.)

This is, incidentally, about 1/4 of the cake. Not one giant piece. Well, I guess it could be one giant piece if someone were very hungry, but.)


ETA: the icing is actually vegan. But it's really not healthy. At all. And it's mostly chemical (or food by-products), so it's probably not really living up to the vegan ideal or whatever anyway.
