Pokemon: Professor Oak's New Theory - Heart Gold Soul Silver. Pokemon Trainer (Brawl)
This is Red. He is the final boss (and hardest) in Gold (Heart Gold), Silver, (Soul Silver), and Crystal version. He was then made a playable character in Super Smash Bros Brawl which made Brawl Elitiests ("Talented" noobs who like to spam moves and button mash) scratch their heads with utter confusion. The problem being HE DOESN'T FIGHT! He uses his pokemon instead. He's just in the background yelling out some "encouragable words of enthusiasm." If you remember the epic battle you had with him before you remember his overpowered god-like pokemon. DOESN'T HAVE THEM IN THIS GAME! No sir. He has a Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard all of which suck. And his new outfit is terrible. I know you remember him by his 8/16 bit image but he looks like some gay fashion designer. This has got to be #11 on the top 10 worst characters in Brawl.
Ho-oh
I drew a picture of the Legendary Pokemon, Ho-oh from memory so it's not completely perfect. I'm gonna do an overhaul of this pic in the future.

In 2000, Nintendo released what is regarded as the greatest Pokemon game of all time. The second generation of games took the concept of the original Red, Blue, and Yellow, and expanded on that, adding new Pokemon, the ability to explore two huge continents, and brand new features that would be implemented in future Pokemon games such as Pokemon breeding, the Pokegear, and a built in timer which would cause the game to go from day to night.
Remakes, Heart Gold and Soul Silver were released a decade later.
