i was obliged to shoot some reference for class. just to tighten up the details and figure out some subtleties in the anatomy. chickenlegs in all their scrawny glory.
i got the thundercats shirt at target for 9$. also picked up a bunch of decent jimi hendrix ones. sweet deals from my former employer.
had to do this before the roomates came home so they wouldn't think i'd finally lost my mind. the consolation is that most of the hollywood character designers have folders full of files like this--embarassing poses and all. look at something in the background, set the focus and the timer, set up the pose immediately in front of whatever you focused on, blah blah blah. once you learn to take it all with a grain of salt it really helps your artwork to take some of the poses yourself and feel where the weight is balanced, what muscles are stretched or flexed, etc. adds some dynamics to my drawing sometimes.

Today, Today, Today.
Was really lovely and relaxed, Rowan came round for the day and we watched Slumdog! and then chilled out really, making fun and fighting.
Also, according to Rowan, I attract gay men who walk to pubs late at night.
I like walking I've decided, not enough to become a hiker, but it's real good to reflect on what's on your mind. Allows sequential thought about the day, running through your emotions whilst on mobile facebook :)
I'm becoming more obsessive with this flickr stuff, I like it.
Helps you build skills with photoshop, even if you only edit contrast, curves, levels etc.
Two more exams! - Physics and French Reading.
Then 3 months of summer.
