Unofficial Count -- Conowingo Dam
View this at the Original size and see how many you count. I'm sure I missed a few.
I'm always amazed at the bird count at Conowingo so I thought I'd see what filled one frame. This photograph was take from the viewing area across the river with an 80-400mm zoom. I count:
68 Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus)
6 Vultures, I think they are all black vultures (Coragyps atratus)
7 Bald Eagles, young and adults (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)
1 Blue Heron (Ardea herodias)
I can see other birds, too but I can't ID them. See what you think.
