Apparel Making in Fashion Design
This text offers a complete picture of the process of individual garment construction following the exact techniques used in the industry. The unique feature of this book is in the presentation of each garment as a whole concept. With numerous diagrams and easy-tofollow instructions, students master the principles of design and flat pattern to create an individual item of apparel such as a skirt, dress, or jacket. Each chapter begins with the introduction of a basic sloper and follows with an explanation of the whole production process making a garment from pattern drafting to garment construction, including lining, interfacing, and markers. The balance of each chapter covers techniques for altering separate pattern pieces.

Day dress 6
One of 6 sketches for my dresses class. We got a grant from Cotton Inc. and they're paying for our fabrics, so everything will be in cotton. We had to turn in 5 sketches, with color and all the details on it. The colors we could pick from were many and varried, but I only really liked a small handfull. (black, white, red, aqua, and a pair of prints, black on white and white on black swirl)
The requirements:
Cotton only.
Set-in sleeves.
A line or straight skirt.
Zipper on the back.
