Suspicious shoes under 24-hour surveillance from the fashion police.
A store display window from the posh bit of Bloor Street. As usual when I am out and about at night for Nuit Blanche, I notice these installations and (even if commercial) have to compare them to non-window dressing, non-commercial art. The statement in this one was quite funny, for example... particularily when I mistook the horde of stainless steel cameras for a new style of handbag at first glance.
Beyond that (and this is mainly for the 1984 and Panopticon pools) I find it telling that the all-seeing surveillance eye has made its way into window dressing. Even if these are not operable cameras, the fact they've been used in making a fashion statement (the setup itself likely a banksy reference of some sort) is ironic.
