Second Order Low Pass Filter Circuit
- (Filter (circuits)) Electronic filters are electronic circuits which perform signal processing functions, specifically to remove unwanted frequency components from the signal, to enhance wanted ones, or both.
- Second-order problems/decisions have probabilistic uncertainty, are often complicated, and follow definable dynamic processes. These would be characterized with words like complicated, stochastic, probabilistic, optimizing, efficient, frequent, irreversible, medium risk, or medium term.
- (of a filter) Transmitting all frequencies below a certain value
- A low-pass filter is a filter that passes low-frequency signals but attenuates (reduces the amplitude of) signals with frequencies higher than the cutoff frequency. The actual amount of attenuation for each frequency varies from filter to filter.

- All signals below a given crossover frequency. If a crossover frequency is set at 16,000 Hz, for example, the low pass is everything below 16,000 Hz.

A Major Performance Upgrade: My Yaesu FT-817ND now has a 500Hz cw filter which I installed last night. This was quick & simple & will separate signals from several to very few making it much easier to copy a morse code station.

Today was a lazy day for us. We just hung out around the house all day and it was nice... Tonight I got a chance to play around with my new close-up filter set. For the money, these things are great!

Foundations of mathematics is the study of the most basic concepts and logical structure of mathematics, with an eye to the unity of human knowledge. Almost all of the problems studied in this book are motivated by an overriding foundational question: What are the appropriate axioms for mathematics? Through a series of case studies, these axioms are examined to prove particular theorems in core mathematical areas such as algebra, analysis, and topology, focusing on the language of second-order arithmetic, the weakest language rich enough to express and develop the bulk of mathematics. In many cases, if a mathematical theorem is proved from appropriately weak set existence axioms, then the axioms will be logically equivalent to the theorem. Furthermore, only a few specific set existence axioms arise repeatedly in this context, which in turn correspond to classical foundational programs. This is the theme of reverse mathematics, which dominates the first half of the book. The second part focuses on models of these and other subsystems of second-order arithmetic. Additional results are presented in an appendix.
