Using a cheap coffee filter to make a flash diffuser.

With all the DIY projects, I came upon this idea. Its probably been done before.

Notice the cool bling (cheap plastic bead bracelet) used to hold the coffee filter in place.

I know the shot is not white balanced but I just liked the idea of a coffee filter flash diffuser and wanted to post right away.

Spent some time today experimenting with HDR still life,

DIY Photography: -2, -1, 0, 1, & 2 EV exposures combined and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro. Background was taken from the original 0 EV shot in Photoshop Elements. Also made some other adjustments in PS. See notes on photo for DIY hints and see the photo below for the resulting take.

Make your own filters with these filters for the Perfect Pod Coffee Pod maker. 160 Filters in total to make your own pods. Works with Senseo, Krups, Melitta, Simple Human, Juan Valdez, Bunn, Home Cafe, Grindmaster, Mr. Coffee, Hamilton Beach and More. Use your favorite coffees: Seattle's Best, Kona, Green Mountain, Peet's, Starbucks, Jamaica Blue Mountain, Duncan Donuts and more.

Instructions:

1)Align the filter over the top of the white sticker guide (rough side facing up) on the base of the Perfect Pod Maker.

2)Holding the filter in place, press down in the center of the filter with the coffee pod press until a coffee pod is formed.

3)Insert your desired amount of coffee into the formed coffee pod.

4) Fold the top of the pod filter over and seal with your Perfect Pod Maker for 4-6 seconds.
