he is one those men with ability to repair all kinds of carpets, rugs, gabbeh, glim and so on. these people should be very skilful in their work even more that those who make carpets. they should know different style of weaving, having ability to match colors for the parts that are destroyed.
it's wonderful that they even repair carpets from the past centuries and match the nots and colors.
thanks to them who work under bad conditions and paid little.

This is another framed carpet from the Taj hotel lobby...the way the carpet was woven and texturized has an amazing 3-d quality. The rug measures about 3x5 ft. I wanted to get really close to see the texture..I really want to go to Iran, to see the birthplace of this old artistry...
