Kelli!
an unexpected joy, meeting a brilliant thinker i've known online for a while in person-spacetime! lifting my head upward from switching lenses on my dslr, in my foreground view a hesitant hand lifts, body facing me, the hand shifts from hesitance to confident recognition, or just a friendly wave, but most people in utah don't just do that.
my eyes were adjusting to the density of silhouetted events happening, there was about a 3-second gap between my confusion and processing success, and then BAM! KELLI!!! we sat on thin, cheap carpet made into haphazard stepped-seating and got to spend time taking everything in. val said later that i probably rambled too much. ;) excitement. the V and Me skimped on our health-geekdom (ultra-rare) with some tacos afterwards. cool cats.
kelli and scott: magician of all trades, reserved and mellow aspiring journalist, respectively. i want to say that the boy you see is scott, indubitably, and i don't want to be wrong, but i can't. i look forward to more time with them before we leave this global position.
7 Days - Day 7 - back to studying
When you take an online course, IT'S ALL HOMEWORK. Let's just get that straight. The last time I was in school, I rarely did my homework because in most cases, I could pass my tests just by paying attention in class. Now that I don't have a physical class to attend, I have to go through and write down everything to make sure it doesn't slide out of my brain while I'm sleeping. Medical Terminology is my favorite type of class: all vocabulary. Writing out definitions and word parts makes me kind of happy, even though my hand hurts and I can't write properly on the pages where the spiral rings press into my hand. Good thing I probably won't have to reread these notes. It should be enough to remember that I wrote them.
