Camera Mamiya C3
This was one of the earlier of Mamiya's twin lens reflex cameras, manufactured in 1964. The revolutionary design included interchangeable lenses, complete with light tight internal shuttering to make this possible mid film.
I used one of these during my work for The Rank Organisation, during the mid 1960s. Had to give it back when I left, so obtaining one for my collection was a must. There is more kit here than when I had it way back then.
Here we see the 80mm normal lens fitted to the camera and a 30mm wide angle to the left and a 250mm telephoto to the right.
The strange device at the front is a Paramender. This, when fitted between tripod and camera, moves the taking lens (the lower of the two) into the position previously occupied by the viewing lens. This corrects the parallax error that occurs when photographing closer subjects.
This camera produces 12 2?" square negatives on a 120 roll. The film winder is arranged to allow fast film advance.
Wedding Kit - What's in my bag
Due to back issues I'm whittling down my wedding kit to the essentials. I'll have a very wide lens, a very fast one, and the best do-everything lens along with great lighting. Sure my full kit will be in the car for back up, but this is all I'm carrying and I'm sure it'll work supremely well.
Basically before I wasn't carrying the 2nd body. I also didn't have the 24-105mm/4. Instead I used a 20-35mm/2.8 L, Tamron 28-75mm/2.8, and a 80-200mm/4-5.6 plus the 55mm and the 16mm pictured. I really only used the 80-200 during the ceremony. I also spent a lot of time switching lenses. I'm -hoping- the 24-105 is wide enough and long enough to adaquately cover those three lenses I'm no longer carrying.
I tried putting the 24-105 on my Kodak DCS Pro SLR/c (FF), and now I -really- want a 5d. The Kodak just can't handle the low light or high iso.
Somewhat obviously, the 40d, bracket, and flash don't go in the bag. The Turbo battery however does fit.
