Here we have a butterfly (I know my butterflies but I can’t remember the name / type of butterfly here at the moment). It was feeding on the Buddleia I have potted up on my patio. I get a lot of butterflies on my plants I have potted up on the patio. This photograph is a Macro shot.

White-winged Scoters
Several weeks ago a group of White-winged Scoters were discovered on the Columbia River, just east of I-5 from Hayden Island, Portland, Oregon. As many as nine have been seen. Today there were five all in female plumage. Here are three of the five.
