Obsolete since the 80's, when polaroid decided to sue kodak for patent infringement and won (still the largest patent infringement case in history). Kodak was ordered to stop producing all their instant film and instant film cameras.
Not all is lost though... Fuji have started making a type of instant film, only available in japan that works with the kodak instants called Fujifilm FI-800gt. I'm in the process of obtaining some at the moment, as well as some expired kodak instant film, with some batteries on the way too... so keep watching this space!
