Stop A Crying Baby
Your fundamental needs are not being, or were not in the past, met. These include basic things like feeling happy and relaxed in ones environment, feeling wanted and loved, having a sense of connection with other people.
A cessation of movement or operation
A place designated for a bus or train to halt and pick up or drop off passengers
A break or halt during a journey
the event of something ending; "it came to a stop at the bottom of the hill"
discontinue: put an end to a state or an activity; "Quit teasing your little brother"
come to a halt, stop moving; "the car stopped"; "She stopped in front of a store window"
Baby Bird
Oh My Heart.... this precious baby bird had fallen from it's nest and I happened upon it during my lunch hour... being very concerned for it, I couldn't just walk away and "hope for the best"... so I called my friend who works at a vet clinic... she informed me that the Wild Bird Store over in the Marigold Shopping Center takes in rescues much like this one... so, since I was leaving work early anyway... I thought I'd leave an extra 1/2 an hour early to take it there; this with the hopes that they could feed it and eventually set it free.
Well, as I was sitting at my desk, I kept the baby within eyesight so I could make sure it was comfy and safe... I noticed it's breathing changed dramatically so I informed my supervisor that I needed to get the bird to the rescue people quicky... I was worried. So I log out of my computer and then go over and swipe my timecard, I come back to pick up my purse and the box with baby bird and notice that baby bird had stopped breathing and moving... my little baby bird passed away before I could get it to the people to help. :((
Needless to say... I cried... I tried to a do a good deed for such a tiny creature who could not help itself... but I was too late. I hurt. :(

This photo won first place in the 2008 Black Walnut Festival photo show.
so, I just returned from my trip to NYC, after spending last night in an airport due to delayed flights causing me to miss a connecting flight, I'm just glad I am home again.
I'm off work this week.
WOOHOO!
On my way home from the airport I made a quick stop at my local camera store that cost me about $400
I got a Canon EF Lens that's 50mm f/1.8 and also a protective filter,
and a Canon BG-E2N Battery grip for my 40D and also a new battery.
This is a test shot I got today with the new f/1.8
just bask in the DoF goodness.
I recommend this lens to ANYBODY that shoots Canon, it's only $90!
