A little bit of history


Knud Harald Lykke Gregersen, known to us as Brazilian "Tattoo Lucky", was the son of renowned danish tattoo artist Jens Gregersen, in the first half of last century was famous for tattooing among several leaders of his country, King Frederick IX. Lucky's heart could not resist such anxiety and left home as a boy in Copenhagen with 15 years old to travel the world taking the ability of tattooing inherited from his father. After meeting 42 countries, he anchored at Santos in 1959, to be part of the marginal rich history of the City. Here, Lucky was one of the "owners" of the Port zone and won the respect of the prostitutes, sailors, dockers, marginal, smugglers and all who sought the dream the spice of life.
Lucky initially worked at Rua Joao Otavio, then moved to General Camara your small and crowded studio. Erna, who became Brazil's Ana, then 20 and already professional tattoo artist, took the responsibility to give continuity to the work of his father in Santos. Ana met Bira and two companions decided that tattooing was also his way of life and set up a studio in the back of the restaurant on Washington Avenue ,"Energy" and tattooed so long in the city of Santos and several addresses. Currently the true heirs of Lucky live in SUARAO , very near the city of Santos. Knud luckk Gregersen, Lucky Tattoo, who died, but left not only his heirs, but many students of his art not only assimilated by the youth of the beaches, but for people of all age groups and cities that are still trying to overcome past prejudices residing in some sections of society
