    disc brakes
  • A type of vehicle brake employing the friction of pads against a disc that is attached to the wheel

  • (disc brake) disk brake: hydraulic brake in which friction is applied to both sides of a spinning disk by the brake pads

  • The disc brake or disk brake is a device for slowing or stopping the rotation of a wheel while it is in motion. A brake disc (or rotor in U.S. English) is usually made of cast iron, but may in some cases be made of composites such as reinforced carbon-carbon or ceramic-matrix composites.

  • (disc brake) A type of brake system that uses discs (called rotors) that are attached to the wheel hubs and calipers attached to the frame that grip the rotors when the levers are squeezed. Discs provide maximum speed control and stopping power even in wet and muddy conditions.

    bicycle
  • A vehicle composed of two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, propelled by pedals and steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel

  • In graph theory, a pseudoforest is an undirected graphThe kind of undirected graph considered here is often called a multigraph or pseudograph, to distinguish it from a simple graph. in which every connected component has at most one cycle.

BD-1 Multi-S ???? ???????

BD-1 Multi-S ???? ???????

Front suspension set from Multi-S for the Birdy, BD-1, Fretta or Pacific 18 folding bicycles. It's oil based. There are currently only a few options available, most commonly from O-Dot/Color Plus and Sky Shock.

The Multi-S Suspension kit is suppose to give a good damping. Fairly Quiet. Taiwan product. Suppose to be made in Germany. Who knows. It seems quite popular with the Taiwanese and mainland Chinese Birdy owners.

As for how does it compare to the stock option, I have no idea. the black Rohloff Birdy was delivered fitted with the Multi-S front suspension fitted on already.

My only gripe with the set is that the discoupling of the suspension from the front fork seems a bit tight. So it slows down the folding. But hey, that's great when the bike is assembled.

How I Spent My Weekend (6/365)

How I Spent My Weekend (6/365)

Over my weekend, I built two wheels for my bicycle, which proved to be harder than I expected. A few spokes which were the wrong size managed to find their way into the wheel, and complicated the build of the rear wheel. The front wheel was painless though. I was even able to sit on the bike to see how I would like the new position. The handle bars are higher than any bike I have ever owned, but it feels pretty good. I need to get the cranks in, and wire the derailers for the first test ride. There are a few other things to sort out with wiring the lights, and getting the front brake caliper to clear the spokes and align correctly.
