Refrigerator was an Appendix Quarter horse racehorse who won the Champions of Champions race three times. He was a 1988 bay gelding sired by Rare Jet and out of Native Parr. Rare Jet was a grandson of Easy Jet and also a double descendant of both Depth Charge (TB) and Three Bars (TB).
An appliance or compartment that is artificially kept cool and used to store food and drink. Modern refrigerators generally make use of the cooling effect produced when a volatile liquid is forced to evaporate in a sealed system in which it can be condensed back to liquid outside the refrigerator

A refrigerator is a cooling apparatus. The common household appliance (often called a "fridge" for short) comprises a thermally insulated compartment and a heat pump—chemical or mechanical means—to transfer heat from it to the external environment (i.e.

I was bracketing these shots and ended up with this - completely overexposed by at least a stop and a half. While blowing the sky is a technical foul in landscape photography, I always kind of liked the effect it lent to this one.
On another note, this also serves as a good example of how digital photography is inferior to film. This sensor is only capable of capturing a slim portion of the dynamic range of this scene; the highlights are blown, the shadows are lacking detail. Even slide film - often cited for its difficulty handling wide dynamic range - can do better than this. A good negative film can capture a dynamic range nearly an order of magnitude greater than that of digital.
I was given an example of this recently while milling around in Seattle: a tourist wearing a gorgeous 1960's Contax approached me and asked if I wanted my picture taken. I handed him my OM-1 and wasn't about ready to remind him how to use a camera quite similar to the one he was wearing. Unfortunately he must have assumed it had aperture priority metering, as he overexposed the photograph by nearly four stops. I didn't expect much from this exposure, but was quite surprised at the results. The consumer Fuji 400 film had retained all of the highlights, and though the image showed a touch more grain and contrast, it turned out fine enough to make the refrigerator door.
I drew my ship up to the harbour...
...where my true love waits for me...
Sorry, I am just singing one of my favourite Bellowhead songs : )))
Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're well. I am fluish again and I truly hate to have the cold, but hey, it's the right season, I guess?
The latest news (!) is that eventually we have a new TOASTER in my home! : DD
We were so happy (it's a huge one, with 4 slots for the slices and loads of options) that we spent the last two days eating ONLY toast and chocolate, or jam.
...Now I don't want to see a toast any more for the next month!!!! : DD
Have a great week, hugs to all of you***

Another shot of that magic sunset over the Oslo harbour, and yes, you saw this scene already two times, but I need something comfy and warm to cheer me up from the microbes, so he we are... a lovely, treasured memory. And a tea in the background.
