Designer Console Tables
- A table supported by ornamented brackets, either movable or fixed against a wall
- Tables made for fixing against a wall and having no legs at the back. They came into fashion early in the eighteenth century, and were made often in pairs.
- Upscale and fashionable
- architect: someone who creates plans to be used in making something (such as buildings)
- A person who plans the form, look, or workings of something before its being made or built, typically by drawing it in detail
- interior designer: a person who specializes in designing architectural interiors and their furnishings
- graphic designer: someone who specializes in graphic design
- Made by or having the expensive sophistication of a famous and prestigious fashion designer
Formal blue-gray dining room: Benjamin Moore 'Cloudy Sky'
Another view of the dining room by designer Candice Olson. It's too formal for my tastes, but I do appreciate the color palette (and the velvet upholstery doesn't hurt, either). Walls are painted Cloudy Sky by Benjamin Moore.
Above the rectangular dining table (a birch-veneer top set on chocolate-finished maple legs), Olson hung a six-light Lucite-and silver chandelier that echoes two crystal table lamps on the birch console table. An 8-by-10-foot Persian rug repeats the color palette of the one on the living room floor, but varies the pattern.
