Help me, oh Lord, to ensure that my eyes are merciful, so that I may never nurture suspicion nor judge people on the basis of exterior appearances,
but let me seek out what is good in my neighbour's soul and let me be able to help him.
Help me to have merciful ears, oh Lord,
so that I may bow down to the necessities of my neighbour,
let my ears never be indifferent to the pain or lamentations of my neighbour.
Help me, oh Lord, let my tongue be merciful,
let it never speak unfavourably about my neighbour,
but let it always have a word of comfort or forgiveness for everyone.
Help me, oh Lord, let my hands be merciful and full of good deeds,
so that I will only know how to do good to my neighbour,
and let me take on the more burdensome tasks.
Help me, let my feet be merciful,
so that I may always run to the aid of my neighbour,
overcoming my indolence and tiredness.
Let me find my real repose in service to my neighbour.
Help me, oh Lord, and let my heart be merciful,
so that it may participate in all the sufferings of my neighbour.
Let me refuse my heart to nobody.
I will behave sincerely even with those whom I Know will take advantage of my goodness,
while I will take refuge in the most Meciful Heart of Jesus.
