RIHANNA VISITS 6-YR-OLD LEUKEMIA PATIENT
Rihanna used her celebrity for a good cause and brought some joy to a 6-year-old sick fan. The Barbados-born singer visited Jasmina Anema at NYU Medical Center on April 2. She spent more than three hours with the girl, who suffers from a rare case of leukemia. "She's really here!" a thrilled Jasmina said when the star walked into her room, while Rihanna replied , "You are such a beautiful little girl." Rihanna learnt about the case, through a video made by the girl's best friend and her mother in an effort to find a bone-marrow donor for the young girl. Jasmina is usually exhausted due to high doses of chemotherapy. "But when Rihanna walked into the room, there was no sign of that at all," said Katharina Harf, the executive vice president of DKMS Americas, the donor registry that is helping Jasmina find a match. "It breaks my heart to see her go through this difficult sickness," Rihanna tell People magazine.
