With jittery voice.One of the many projects under the Dada Cravats Laboratory (DcL) was the Worchestshire band, The Very Things.Founding members, guitarist Robin Raymond Dallaway and vocalist The Shend (Chris Harz), formed several bands using the principles of Dadaism, including The Babymen, Cravats, DcL Locomotive.
"Using the banner (of Dada) was a lot easier than delivering lengthy manifestios."Although the band existed for five years, in that time period they only produced two LPs and a handful of singles. Album It's A Drug, It's A Drug, It's a Ha Ha Ha, It's A Trojan Horse Coming Out Of The Wall (American Gothic), was actually recorded as The Very Things second album, but was released in 1993, five years after they had disbanded.
Besides Dada, their inspirations came from such disparate sources as 60s sci-fi televison shows and films like The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, The Prisoner and Them!, 60s psychedelic grooves, Motown and my guess, cartoon monsters.
Quite honestly, their music is indescribable!!!!!
