Kurt Cobain preuzeo je od Elvisa prvo mjesto na ljestvici mrtvaca koji najbolje zarađuju. Listom se pozabavio časopis Forbes, a 13 mrtvaca koje su pratili zaradilo je 247 milijuna.
Kurt Cobain, vođa skupine Nirvana koji je počinio samoubojstvo s 27 godina, preuzeo je prvo mjesto od legendarnog Elvisa Presleya na listi slavnih mrtvaca koji su prošle godine zaradili najviše novca, objavio je časopis Forbes.
Kurt Cobain zaradio je 50 milijuna dolara 2005., prema internetskoj stranici Forbesa, koja je uzela u obzir 13 preminulih velikana. Dokazujući da smrt ne sprečava nastavak bogaćenja, skupina je kolektivno zaradila 247 milijuna dolara.
Elvis Presley, koji je preminuo 1977. godine, pao je na drugo mjesto prvi put nakon 2001., ali je prošle godine zaradio ugodnih 42 milijuna.
Tvorac Peanutsa Charles Schulz zauzima treće mjesto (35 milijuna dolara), ispred Johna Lennona (24 milijuna) i Alberta Einsteina (20 milijuna), čije se ime koristi u proizvodnji vrlo popularnih edukativnih igara u SAD-u.
