Clinical laboratory, French Clinic, December 1965
The lab was tiny, and jammed with equipment and people doing lab tests on all kinds of bodily fluids and solids. This was not a world for the squeamish. I liked the feel of the place. Joe Schneider and I would go over here to get supplies for my bacteriology project. There was a Cal Poly student working there who was doing a senior project on oaks of SL County, and he was in love with Dad's surgical nurse. But for some reason it never came off. She was highly competent and had a great personality, as did he. But then she married an alcoholic bum and was miserable.
