Curtiss-Wright Bee, Two PAssenger Air-Car, 1959 - Advertising Postcard
CURTISS-WRIGHT 2-PASSENGER AIR-CAR
Source Type: Postcard
Publisher, Printer, Photographer: Curtiss-Wright
Collection: Steven R. Shook
TEXT ON REVERSE:
Here is the world's newest method of transportation...the Curtiss-Wright
Without the usual wheels, axles, transmission, clutches, etc., the Curtiss-Wright Air-Car travels smoothly over any unobstructed terrain, across water, mud or swamps on a cushion of low pressure, low velocity air. The controls are simple and the vehicle is inherently stable -- anyone who can drive a car can operate the Air-Car.
The "Bee" is a compact, two passenger Air-Car which travels at speeds up to 56 mph with a 100 horsepower engine. This is the next model planned for production.
The Model 2500 is a 2-engine, 300 horsepower vehicle which comfortably carries four passengers.

Chevy Big Block
I was out shooting scenery when I ran across this beauty sitting at an overlook at Quabbin Reservoir. Nothing original about it, the color was wrong, the engine didn't exist in 1955 the wheels were wrong, but it is exactly what we did in the mid 60s. I had a 1956 Chevy, this is what it aspired to be. This is a Chevy Big Block V-8 not sure of the displacement, the owner just kept saying "Big Block", it is probably a 427 maybe a 454.
As I said, mine never made it this far. I was 16 when I got it, my first car, I had never turned a wrench in my life. By the time I was 18 the ugly green Chevy 210, 6 cylinder had been stripped down , painted blue, had a Corvette 327 dropped in the engine bay and was sporting chrome reverse rims and bucket seats with a floor mounted shifter. I learned alot on that car.
You can never go back, but this shiny red 55 sure brought me part way there.

Beginning with a basic primer on reverse engineering-including computer internals, operating systems, and assembly language-and then discussing the various
applications of reverse engineering, this book provides readers with practical, in-depth techniques for software reverse engineering. The book is broken into two parts, the first deals with security-related reverse engineering and the second explores the more practical aspects of reverse engineering. In addition, the author explains how to reverse engineer a third-party software library to improve interfacing and how to reverse engineer a competitor's software to build a better product.
* The first popular book to show how software reverse engineering can help defend against security threats, speed up development, and unlock the secrets of competitive products
* Helps developers plug security holes by demonstrating how hackers exploit reverse engineering techniques to crack copy-protection schemes and identify software targets for viruses and other malware
* Offers a primer on advanced reverse-engineering, delving into "disassembly"-code-level reverse engineering-and explaining how to decipher assembly language
