Picked up this gorgeous Art Nouveau marble topped sideboard (and the matching china cabinet) at a bizarre store we found that is a mish-mash of thrift items and high-end antiques. I need to have a new key made for the bottom doors, but I adore it. I know very little about the piece, other than it is circa 1910-1920 and is allegedly French.
The marble is black/grey and the furniture is SO heavy.
You can see our newly refinished 1925 windows in this picture. It took a team of two guys almost 20 hours to refinish three windows and the foot molding in this room. I am so pleased with the 80+ years of paint that is now gone from this window.
WELCOME HOME....FLAT PACK COFFINS?
We spotted this hearse in the car park of the MFI store, it was so funny to see this photo uploaded to fine the welcome sign on the top of it......I don't think I have ever found a hearse arriving to be very welcoming..
We wondered if the driver was there to collect his flat pack furniture or maybe MFI are into the flat pack coffin trade now...
