If I was to die tomorrow, she would have clean diapers. Also brought out an old trunk to fill up her toys in the living room, that way at least my house would be clean for the wake. At least ten times, I was on all fours with the baby chasing her on the beach, in the kitchen, on the terrace, in her room, in the kitchen blocking her from the oven. I filled the oven to brim since it takes up the same electricity as a load of clothes in the dryer. Besides the chocolate tarte (with leaf lard crust to die for), roasted three beets with olive oil and garlic (the bright red beet skins saved to make Easter egg dye), a butternut squash cubed and roasted, duck broth and carrot top antioxidant soup (in the oven!) for our duck won ton soup tonight, a millefeuille of golden carrots, sweet onions and fish for lunch and duck l’orange salad. Amaya ate both with gusto. My family is well fed. They are happy and tired from the beach. Mr.Chen brought out this electromagnetic proton generator or something & had kids hold on to the sphere as he turned it on. It's B2's birthday today so the guys made tees w/ a picture of B2 in a dumb pose and wrote "Happy Birthday Ching Chong!!!" on the back. hahaha. So homo. lol. Made Valentine's Day rice crispy treats for cooking today. Everyone got a big heart while I got 2 bears. Decorated them as cute as I could and gave one to Carmen & one to Kathryn during passing & lunch; well Jofung gave it to them b/c he insisted so much upon it, but @ least they knew I made it for them. hahaha. While we were out filming for Film class; Jofung, Raymond, Christian, & I discovered these two insects connected by the butt & walking around together connected. They were totally conjoined no matter how many times Jofung flipped them, well until Jofung broke them apart w/ a stick. lol. Bored i guess, Jofung just took pics of me during the rest of Film class w/ my DSLR. haha. During lunch, LPA was kind enough to make little bags of candy w/ one of those little valentines cards you buy as a kid for NR; too cute. :]. haha. During 6th period Econ, someone bought a sonnet to be read to Mr.Lau during class, which was pretty awkward. lol. After school, met up w/ everyone @ South Courts for B2's surprise birthday thing. Along the way to Sinbala, a Taiwanese restaurant in Arcadia, we saw Bleaker & Veronica in the car driving down Huntington. Naturally Joanne was trying to yell across the two cars to talk to them while driving. -_-". lol. Got to Sinbala early, but not everyone was there yet so Joanne, J Kwan, & I went to the Asian supermarket next door to look for some weird Asian products. Sure enough, we find prepackaged, vacuum sealed balls of meat on a stick in the candy/snacks aisle. lol. Went back to the restaurant & everyone was already seated. B2 came & got surprised then we all ordered b/c everyone was starving. Got minced meat dry noodles. :]. Food was tasty, but I was no where near full so I ate half of Shirley's plate & a bowl of Jacky's food. lol. While Jason literally cleaned his plate of every single grain of rice; it was spotless. hahaha. After everyone ate, we sang happy birthday & gave him his cake which said "Fuck You Chino" and had toothpicks & boba straws instead of candles. LOL! Jennie got him a playboy magazine & Hirata was just checking that shit out as everyone was eating cake. haha. Went to Jacky's house after & just chilled for the rest of the night. For some reason there was a big bag of bread on the floor in the middle of nowhere. lol. As I was getting dropped off @ home, Valley was already being converted for the Lunar Festival tomorrow & traffic was already building up. -_-". Saw a Evo IX wagon too; so weird. haha. Let's clean Slovenia in one day! Today was a big day for my country. All over Slovenia, volunteers gathered to clean up all the illegal dumping grounds and other hidden garbage dumped in the nature round our beautiful country. Over 200.000 people officially signed up for the action, but practically everybody was involved. You could see entire families picking up garbage and having a great time doing it - especially little kids! Naturally, I did my civic duty and cleaned along the road where I usually go for my morning walks. I ended up with two huge garbage bags full of old cans, bottles, and other rubbish! I hope that after today sites like this will no longer exist in Slovenia! Try to organize such cleanup action in your country, as well! (14) gorgeous wedgewood stove this stove is amazing and so much fun to clean! this is the final product. as with everything: start at the top, and work your way down. spray down surfaces with all-purpose spray to cut grease. remove all removable parts to clean in the sink. i like to use scented baking soda as an abrasive (cheaper than bon ami, and just as effective) with a scrub brush when i'm scraping down the burner plates and trays and crumb/grease trays, etc. you can use a vacuum cleaner if you have a hose and attachments to get all the crumbs out once the innards are visible. i left the crumb/grease trays poking out like that to dry more thoroughly and not rust, and pushed them back in when i left (they still have some room to breathe through the top of the stove). the knobs are removable and easily come clean with a sponge. don't forget the sides and the front. you can clean inside the oven, too, using similar methods. wedgewood they don't make em like that any more! you can take it all apart and clean from the inside out. i didn't get into the oven part at all, just the stove-top and under the burners. with a vacuum hose, i would have gotten out more crumbs, but i'm not complaining. i took the burner cover sheet off and cleaned the grease and crumbs off in the kitchen sink (which i cleaned after i was done with all the kitchen surfaces) using the scented baking soda and my favorite scrub brush (with some sponge action too). Finding A Place To Sleep At Night Every night is hard trying to find a place to sleep. Depending on which way the wind is blowing and what is around like farming, truck fumes, mold is a big issue along with what parking lots will allow overnight parking, rest stops and parks. Oh I can't even begin to express how tired I am of this. I can't sleep in my house or neighborhood, so I am homeless. I spend my days staying in parks and beaches. I am not making any progress with much of anything and it's been weighing on me terribly. With getting reactions from going home to being in a park and having someone walk by with laundry or fragrance chemicals on to the mold in the areas. I've been at a hugh disadvantage in being able to be productive. Even eating has been a big issue, I'm not eating the way I should be. None of this is helping my health living like this and being in this area. I was told to tell the chemical lawn companies I was getting a Lawyer. I was bombarded with 11 different lawns that had chemicals used without 24hr prior notification so I could be out of there. My health is taken down and bills thru the roof. They told me to go ahead and get one and that they weren't doing anything different then any other neighbor and that the Law was stupid. YES they are and no it isn't, it's my safety net and it has to start somewhere!!! I could take them to court, I have all the proof in the world against them but I just don't want to. I honestly thought they might want to do the right thing and help pay for all the medical expensises they created. Not so, they don't care, I guess most people don't do things that are the right thing to do unless they are forced to somehow. The state is allready fineing them not that it does me a whole lot of good after the fact. My husband has been sleeping with me quite a few times and has gotten the idea of what it is like "It's Hard" and "No Fun" to put it mildly. He put a (Plee For Help ) in at the church he is able to go to in finding a safe place for me to stay at. Guys have offered help with whatever is needed as far as moving stuff, cleaning, even helping replace windows. I'm at a loss for words right now. The house has needed some major work for a many years now and with my mold sensitivities being thru the roof the whole neighborhood is extreamly toxic to me along with the tons of chemicals being used around there. I'd love a home where I could be safe from toxins that cripple me but with the way things are around here I'm just not so sure. Even neighbors laughing at me while I wear my mask and how they are to me I just don't care to be around it anymore. Enough is enough! As far as my neighbors for the most part I don't let them get under my skin ~but~ there are still times when I hear comments or see people laughing at me I bums me out and I try to let it go. Oh if they only knew the whole picture of what is really going on would they change their ways? Winter is comming and I don't know what to do? In Arizona and New Mexico the temperatures were good for having to live like this but the toxic areas were not good for me. Somehow I really need to get it together and figure this out once and for all. In Dallas I was told by many people that I need to think of myself and take care of myself first and formost before anything and everyone else. I'm still not doing that. I'm trying to figure out how to survive with my husband and still being stuck in the mud here in Michigan. Don't get me wrong "I LOVE MICHIGAN" but all the mold and chemicals don't love me. Time just keeps ticking away with no real progress, no plans, no figuring out anything. Yea, we need help with figuring and organizing because it's just not happening and what is happening is so very slow and little. I can't keep living this way. Culverts, regardless of model classification, appeared to impede upstream movement by stream fish. Fish movement through culverts classified as impassable was lower than movement through the natural stream for Salmonids during the summer and fall and for some Cyprinids during the fall. Movement by species from the families of Salmonidae, Cyprinidae, Percidae, and Cottidae through passable culverts (76 events) occurred 5 times as often as movement through impassable culverts (16 events). Fish movement through culverts was negatively correlated with the culvert characteristics of slope, slope x length, and velocity for cyprinids. Road crossings with outlet drops < 10 cm, slope < 2.0%, and slope x length values < 25 experienced the greatest movement illustrating the importance of those culvert characteristics in determining fish passage. Day160 Kinda sort of what I was going for. When I saw that the flickr Roulette Group had "Put a Bow on It" for my birthday, I was like, "WHEE!! So obvious shot of the day!" I'm pretty eh about birthdays. I usually don't wish them and really don't expect happy birthday wishes. Eh, I figure that once the year changes and someone asks me how old I am, I just do the math. Born in 1977, it's now 2010, so from January first on, I'm 33. No big whoop. Today, I showed up at work and there was this BEAUTIFUL SUPER AMAZING UNBELIEVABLE bouquet of flowers from my in-laws. I had work to do, but I kept staring at it being like "Ok, must shoot this. Must shoot this....gah, work to do." And I already had my challenge of the day figured out. I figure they'll last until tomorrow at least. Oh, and my mom-in-law even asked what my flowers were and had the bouquet custom made. GUSHING! I especially hate work fuss over birthdays because someone usually buys a cake, or cupcakes, or some kind of dessert. And sometimes the kids will bring in treats...sweets again. I have a limited sweet tooth. Buy yourself cake. Bring me cheese. Or olives. Or wine. When I got home. John went out to do the few stops I should have made but didn't want to because, damn it, my birthday. I don't want to pump gas and go to a . Then one cat sprayed on the carpet. As I was cleaning that up, the evil cat knocked the vase of flowers on the floor. *CRY!* So cleaning up piss, cleaning up water, and trying to rearrange the flowers so the few broken stems could be supported. Yeah, but the funniest part of today was everyone asking who the flowers were from, and people saying how sweet my husband was, and I was like, uh, nope, from my in-laws!! A few jokes about how I'm lucky how well I get along with them. I don't get that. Why would you marry someone whose parents are assholes? It seems to be genetic or at least programmed, so you KNOW that your significant other will eventually turn out to be like one or both of them. A few jokes from me being like, "It's AWESOME getting the only child experience!" But really for my birthday between my husband, mom and my in-laws, I now have my own business. Now it's time to REALLY work. I never thought I'd have the fortune to become my own business in something that I love, but I'm seeing the possibility in the near future. So if you're in the Pittsburgh area and have cute kids, give me a ring. I'm offering super reasonable prices to build my portfolio. Dear Man... Bad call, sir. You never pick a line with kids or old people, no matter how few items they appear to have. As long as the river water dances, the dance of life will continue," Gray Antelope explained as he handed Ross a small bottle. It held water from the Snake River. "You put the Snake River water in the grandmother clay pot. All you need is a couple of drops. Dip your finger into the water. Everyone that you touch will experience its healing touch," he said. Before Ross could say thank you, Antelope said, "Let's go for a ride in your car." Ross and the medicine man got into his car. He started up the engine and slid the sun roof open. He headed north. "You have a great car for medicine," Antelope said merrily," it has this top that opens. You can go down the highway and throw medicine corn out the roof. Everywhere it lands there will be a blessing." He laughed as Ross reached into his pocket and withdrew a small pouch. Taking dried corn from the pouch and flinging it through the sun roof, Ross wondered whose life would be changed from a chance encounter with the blessing corn. Ross kept driving with no particular destination in mind. As they drove through a wooded area, Antelope seemed to know what was around the next turn in the road, "Ho! Deer on the road up ahead," he shouted out. And when the car sped around the bend, there stood two graceful brown-eyed does that had to bound off the road to escape. Antelope laughed, giving Ross a light tap on the arm. Ross smiled and kept driving north until they were following the river. "Pull over here," Antelope requested and Ross pulled off the road onto the bare dirt. There was no other traffic on the road and the only sound was the rush of the river. The mountains rose high on the other side of the water and the sky turned dark above. "Looks like a storm's coming in," Ross said, thinking of rain and flash floods. He felt a single raindrop hit his forehead. "You will need to know how to open the river. I will teach you how to do this," Antelope said, ignoring Ross's concern about the storm. He walked through the trees and down the slope toward the river. Ross hurriedly shut the sun roof, rolled up windows and locked the car doors. Then he followed the path Antelope had taken. He saw Antelope standing in the shadows cast by the great cottonwood tree down by the water's edge and stopped to watch the medicine man. Antelope stood in silence and looked up and down the river. He reached into his pocket and the sky rumbled above him, swirling with dark clouds. As he threw a handful of blessing corn onto the water, lightning crashed above him streaking across the sky like an angry silver snake. He was illuminated by the flash of light in that split second, a tiny human against a backdrop of wild river and mountain, captured like a snapshot in Ross's mind forever. He seemed frail and vulnerable and yet totally unafraid. For the first time, Ross feared that some harm might come to him, that he might lose his friend, Gray Antelope. He hurried down the hill and stood next to him. "Hey, that was close. Are you okay?" Ross asked. Antelope did not answer, but handed Ross some corn to use to bless the river. Ross hesitated for a moment as he looked up at the sky, waiting for the return of the lightning. Antelope watched smiling and Ross tossed the blessing corn into the water. "When you open a river, you open it for all the beavers, so they can do their work. They are part of the river. When you open the river, you open it for the people, for all the children. To let the river energy flow to open their hearts." Ross nodded his head and waited for Antelope to continue. "I can see all the people. I can see all the children. They put their hands out but their fingers are clenched down tight into their palms. They can't uncurl their fingers. They can't open their hands to touch and feel the world around them. Their eyes are closed," Antelope said, his voice full of emotion. "They can't see the beauty around them. When they look at each other, it is with anger or hatred. Their hearts are closed. There are so many children. They need so much help. There are so many things to block their path, ancient enemies, old wounds, greed, alcohol, gambling, the lure of the golden cross. Many follow the wrong path. They close their hearts to each other and close their hands so that they can not receive the blessings that Spirit sends. So you must open the river to let the river energy go to them. The river will open their hands to receive and their hearts to love. It will open their eyes, so they can see the way." Antelope squatted down and put his hand into the water and stood and rubbed some water onto Ross's hands. "Take the blessing water and put it on the hands of children," he instructed. Then pulling a long red sash from his pocket, he added,"Tie several loos Ratatouille She decided that cooking was her passion. I decided to have a special evening where together we would make ratatouille, invite others to eat with us and then watch the animated film Ratatouille. Over half the ingredients were already provided by a kind and generous person from the local organic food farmers' market. The flavours were amazing. The squash was a particular success. The ratatouille in the slow cooker was ready later in the evening. It was the least interesting in terms of flavour. Long Prairie, Chad and Barb Thursday night we were bicycling around Long Prairie, MN, contemplating dinner when in front of Minnesota National Bank I spotted a couple if big sun shades and dozens of tables set up. I rode up the driveway to get a closer look. My guess was that it was a charity cookout or booster club event: something local we could buy a ticket for. I didn't see any signs or posters, but there were people serving and a whole line of coolers. The tables were between a quarter and a half full so there was still quite a crowd. Just when I gave up on sorting out what exactly it was going on in front of Minnesota National, a couple of guys started hollaring at me and waving me over. I waved at Joe to follow. We got the usual questions: where to, where from, how far, how long. Then, they told us to put our stuff down and get a plate. The picnic, the guys told me, was being put on by the bank for the public. We sat with guys from the bank, mostly talking to Chad, Rich, and Paul. We strategized about camping when Chad, understanding our essential cheapness, offered up his lawn. It was just about then that the picnic started to shut down and Oe and I, with gratitude at having some chore to do, helped break down the tables at chairs. Afterward, Chad was still around and we asked him if he was serious about his offer. Oh yes, he said. He gave us directions to his house, barely a mile away, and said he'd leave the truck out front so we wouldn't miss it. When we got to the house, set in a lovely wooded drive, we knocked on the door. Chad's wife aswered and their was an akward moment since we hadn't met. She broke the ice immediately, welcoming us in. After introductions, Chad immdiately offered us showers. "And don't say know, because I know you want them," he added. And it was true, so we couldn't refuse. To top it off, Chad came out as we were unpacking our things and offered up a couple of beds downstairs. We tried to refuse, but he insisted and we gratefully accepted. After our turns in the shower, cleaned and dressed, we joined Chad and Barb in the living room with their son Collin and daughter Kaila. (I hope I'm getting that right!) We watched TV for a bit, including a piece of the NBA draft, and talked about Long Prairie, the bank, and travelling. Besides the name connection, we discovered Collin shares Joe's birthday. They played a game of chess and Collin really gave Joe a run for his money. In the meantime, Barb made us and the family Rhubarb slushes. They were delicious. In essence, frozen Rhubarb syrup chipped into a glass and splashed with soda. She was kind enough to share her recipie with us, so I'm taking it back to California. I knocked off pretty early--I had been tired all day--but Joe stayed up with Chad and Barb and probably finished Ratatouille. I do not want our tour to end, but more than anything I miss beds and clean sheets. In the morning we packed quickly to beat the afternoon heat and thanked Chad and Barb for everything. I regret that I forgot to ask them for a picture before we left. I continue to be amazed at out fortune: we meet the kindest and most interesting people. Truely, we living a charmed life to have met the people we have on our way. 3 things: 1: I got a new juicer. It's a Breville. I love it! So easy to clean and runs great and it's fast! Just started this week. This one is carrot, apple, spinach, dark grapes, and mandarin orange. Mmmm! Wish me luck that I can stick to it! 2: I got a new light box thingy. I tried it out on this shot but two things I didn't do that I'll make sure to do next time... focus (sheesh!), and smooth out the wrinkles! :-) I just opened it up to see how it works and all. This shot is just with one overhead light in t he room and my flash. I didn't bother setting up side lights this time because I just wanted to look at it mostly. 3. I got a new polarizer filter for my 18-135 lens. Can't wait to use it. Of course we have a week of rain showers and clouds coming. It figures. But it's supposed to be sunny this weekend so I'll be able to try it out then. (polarizer isn't in Flickr's spell check LOL!) With a career that exemplified the maturation of romantic black pop into a sophisticated form spanning social and sexual politics, Marvin Gaye was one of the most consistent and enigmatic of the Motown hitmakers. Certainly among the most gifted composers and singers, with a mellifluous tenor and a three-octave vocal range, Marvin Gaye was also moody — avoiding TV, rarely performing live, and sometimes not showing up for the few concerts he did schedule. From "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" to "Heard It Through the Grapevine," from "What's Going On" to "Sexual Healing," Gaye sang some of the most memorable black pop of the '60s, '70s, and '80s. He was nominated for eight Grammys before winning one in 1983. His life ended tragically one year later — and one day before his 45th birthday — when he was shot to death by his father, an Apostolic preacher, after a violent argument. In many respects, Gaye was, as his friend, the cowriter of "Sexual Healing," and author David Ritz titled his biography of him, a divided soul. Gaye got his first hit with his fourth release, "Stubborn Kind of Fellow," in 1962. Over the next 10 years, working with nearly every producer at Motown (including the team of Holland-Dozier-Holland, Smokey Robinson, and Norman Whitfield), he enjoyed over 20 big hits. Although he specialized in midtempo ballads, he also had dance hits: "Hitch Hike" (Number 30, 1963), the 12-bar blues "Can I Get a Witness" (Number 22, 1963), which became a virtual anthem among the British mods), and "Baby Don't You Do It" (Number 27, 1964). Another 100 albums (give or take a few) are stored in the closet. In this age of MP3s, CDs and iPods, listening to records has become somewhat of a chore. Recently I was told about a new-fangled invention called the USB turntable. Guess what? It connects directly to your computer and allows you to record your records as MP3s! After some investigation I have learned that, even though it is relatively cheaply built, it still receives rave reviews from almost everyone who has used it. The software also allows you to edit out most of the pops, cracks and scratches, if you wish. I know at least one other Flickr member who has a collection of record albums. I wonder if this turntable intrigues her as much as it intrigues me. P.S. You are 17 but can't drive. Your list of excuses for not doing your homework is the length of Anna Karenina. You exceed the 4200 word limit on the Extended Essay (by over 1000 words). It takes more than one trip to carry the books you need between your car and your locker. You carry around Spanish vocab flash cards to whip out in your free time. When you are home ill, you can't help but wonder what work you're missing and what your homework is. When you're watching TV, you feel guilty because not all of your homework is done. You actually believe "mental health days" are excused absences. (Yes, yes, yes) Breakfast?! What's that? The bags under your eyes are heavier than the ones carrying your textbooks. You always seem to have one continuous headache. . You find yourself thinking "Without stress my life would be empty." You can count the number of hours you sleep each week on one hand. You clean up your room and find a bed. You wonder about things like what would happen if your car traveled at the speed of light and you turned your lights on. Everything you know about sex, you learned from the English reading list. You've mastered the art of procrastination so well that your research paper finishes printing just seconds before you have to leave for school. You feel guilty if you go more than a week without homework or some form of schooling. You make a date to do homework together and you actually do. It rains and you place the umbrella over your book instead of yourself. You know how to spell "Baccalaureate". You skip school to do homework. Someone tells you to relax and you go into spasms - "Relax? RELAX?!?" The cure t kolada's face at the kennel I snapped this shot of Kolada on Friday when we boarded the dogs so we could take a trip up to Massachusetts. Because we have so many relatives out of state, we board the dogs pretty frequently, so it isn't exactly a new experience for them. Taking this into account, I was shocked by how resistant they were on Friday. In the past, they've always been almost nonchalant about the whole ordeal, following the kennel-hand into the back willingly as soon as she took their leashes. In December, when Kolada had to be boarded alone, she was acting a little shy, sticking close to me until her leash was taken and then being somewhat reluctant to follow the kennel-hand. I attributed this to a change in our routine. Previously, it had been the three dogs all going in together, with the comfort of each other, almost seeming to face it as an adventure. But by this time, Ebony had died and Shelby was coming to New York with us instead of being boarded. It was just Kolada alone, so I felt like this might have been the reason for her change in behavior. Friday was unusual. As soon as walked in the door, the dogs were showing signs of anxiety. Kolada stuck close by me, hiding behind me a lot of the time, and Shelby wouldn't step away from the door. We had a bit of a wait, because the kennel-hand was busy feeding all the other dogs in the runs, which made things a little more painful because these dogs have mastered the art of the guilt trip. Shelby whined and started shaking, and Kolada remained glued to my side, staring mournfully at the door. When the kennel-hand appeared, Kolada greeted her with enthusiasm because she's quite familiar with her by now, then retreated to my side. When she took her leash, Kolada initially seemed willing to follow but upon realizing she was being taken back to the runs, immediately turned and lunged back toward me, which was so desperate and dramatic that I had to laugh. She was pulled away, and all the while seemed to be saying, "No! Mom! Don't let them take me!" I felt bad, and was really puzzled by the sudden change. I'm sure it's not a very fun time. Apart from the fact that she knows it means we will be seperated for a few nights, it probably isn't too comfortable. The runs don't look all that much different from those in an animal shelter. And there are dogs on either side of her, constantly being aroused and barking maniacally at the slightest sound. It's probably frustrating to see another dog across from you and not being able to interact with it. And on top of that, Kolada is an active dog who enjoys her daily walks, so it's probably pretty boring for her. I pick the dogs up tomorrow. After this last stay, I'm not sure I want to board them anymore, but I don't have many other options. It's always been convenient, and I felt safe leaving them there, assured that they were being treated well and trusting the staff, who are very knowledgable about dogs and their care. But I really didn't like my dogs' reactions this time; it was a little upsetting. I'm not that big a fan of having to board them to begin with, but I also need to keep in touch with my family, so I had to weigh the pros and cons. The diet is a bit of a problem, but it's more a nuisance than anything else. Kolada and Shelby are used to raw feeding, and the kennel feeds kibble, so they always come back bloated, with horrible breath, dull coats, and for the next few days they produce huge, soft, rancid stools that are impossible to clean without gagging at least five times. They also require vaccinations of kennel cough and distemper, which I'm not a fan of, but my dogs haven't been vaccinated since 2007 and they haven't approached me about it; they're possibly being lenient because of how frequently I board with them. Additionally, every time I pick up the pooches, they smell like stinky kennel dogs! Even after they've been bathed during their stay, I end up having to bathe them as soon as we get home. It seems like the cons are outweighing the pros, but there ARE pros! I've always felt better leaving the dogs with professionals, because of all the people I know, I honestly don't trust anyone to watch my dogs. I can be a little paranoid when it comes to the safety of my pets, and I just have visions of something going wrong. Even the smallest things, like the dogs having to wait too long to be allowed to go to the bathroom, and being forced to hold it and be uncomfortable. And then there's the whole feeding ordeal. It's different from just scooping some kibble into a bowl, and it feels burdensome to ask someone to raw-feed for me when they're just not into it. So, it's not a perfect situation. I'm going to have to look into alternatives, because Shelby and Kolada are due to be boarded again for a week in June. I don't want to have to put them through this again if it really stresses them out so much.
