The Pond
This picture shows the burlap we used to temporarily hold the dirt in place for the hill behind the pond. You can see small twigs of bamboo that we grew and stuck in the dirt to hold the burplap down in the wind.
The black is a 45 mil EPDM rubber liner that we purchased to line the pond. The green that's peeking out underneath it is carpet padding that a neighbor was going to throw away, so we recycled/reused it as the underlayment for the pond liner to protect the dirt and to keep anything from underneath the liner from cutting into the rubber.
A life in recycling
So this represents a huge heap of paper that has been stealthily growing in my flat. Today, I have sorted through the lot. And what a bloody effort its been. Gah.
But tomorrow, I shall shred half of it... muh ha ha ha ha!
