A 2010 picture of a street where an aunt of mine lived from 1971 to 1980. You can tell it's not in England because:

1) The grassy area looking out over the estuary would be littered with beer cans, vodka bottles, dodgy looking cigarette butts, fast-food containers, syringes, etc. as it would be a late-night hangout for yobs in cars playing loud 'music', etc..

2) The wall outside what was my aunt's bungalow would have graffiti tags on it & the verge would be litterd with crisp packets, food wrappers, dog muck, etc..

3) Louts would be riding off-road motorcycles on the estuary mud-flats.

4) Even at 3pm on Mondays there would be vehicles parked on the pavement, belonging to people who don't bother working for a living & belonging to 'cowboy' builders & dodgy tradespeople preying on older residents.

5) The grassy area by the estuary would be a magnet for 'fly-tippers' & would have a few dumped fridges, tyres, televisions, building materials, etc..

We stopped to drag this off the road. Hitting tire at speeds of 100+km/hr would be not nice, and this was just over a ridge.
