Our chubby little Maxie dropped a quarter of her body weight rapidly around the same time Pepper did. She went from 31 g of chubby to a svelte 25 g to a skinny 21 g. So a trip to the vet was in order a couple of weeks ago. Off we went to find out that she had injured her mouth (who knows how) and her front teeth were somewhat loose. So we've been mincing, chopping, grinding, and soaking various kinds of food to a soft consistency. She is no longer losing weight. She looks like a svelte healthy mini-ham now in stead the little ball of chub. We don't know if she should put some weight back on or how long she will need soft foods. Maxie is doing well and making friends with us, now that we are down to 3 hamsters. She has a chance of getting the attention she deserves.

Took this yesterday. Had I taken it Monday afternoon I would have looked four or five pounds lighter, but it was mostly dehydration. So I hydrated. And I ate a lot of chips to get some salt. And back to the usual. Next week will be the target week for loing a stone, and I have my doubts.
