Dear dear Flickr photo friends. Along with all the work and pressure etc. at the new apartment I also lost connection to the net at my current apartment - and no one can fix it or understand why. So I am trying to move into the new place fast. I'm hoping to do it on the weekend. They tell me that the broadband and phone will be there in 2 days. Someone will also come that day to do several things about the water - hot water to be exact.
So, I have finished all the painting. But the big hole from an old airconditioner remained in the wall with nothing but vague promises from several people about doing something expensive about getting it fixed. But when Xiao Lin, my weekly cleaning lady who is worth many times her weight in gold, came on Saturday she simply went out to a nearby place where men were bulding something and got some cement and 20 bricks. And then she fixed the thing!! She did this for less than half the price of a cup of coffee -
