I found these really charming buttons that have a bright gold naval insignia on them against a black background and I love the crown and anchor-they remind me of Queen Victoria's Naval Fleet...so this charm bracelet is built around those 2 fabulous buttons! Paraded along the heavy antique brass plated chain are stations of bronze glass balls, brown and gold glass diamond barrell beads and sparkling Swarovski crystal rainbow balls that add a bit of bling to this nautical treasure!

The bracelet is finished with a round toggle clasp closure and is 7 3/4 inches long.

This chunky charm bracelet features four colorful silver plated ladybug charms, three frosted gilia star lucite flower beads, light yellow glass pearls, light green and ecru glass pearls, gold crystal bicones and an assortement of two-toned glass beads in green and orange. The silver plated heavy chain closes with a silver toggle clasp.

Legend has it that the Claddagh symbol was originated by Richard Joyce, a Galway seafarer kidnapped by pirates and sold into slavery in North Africa where he learned the art of a goldsmith. When he was released, nothing could keep him from his beloved Galway where he returned to become a master goldsmith and where he created the Claddagh ring. For centuries this was used as a wedding ring by the fisher folk of Claddagh village, which nestled outside the walls of Galway city in the west of Ireland. Claddagh rings are still worn as friendship, engagement or wedding rings depending on how they are worn.
