Real Christmas cookies
I always shy away from cookies to be rolled out and cut. I tried them this year with the kids. Again, I nearly botched them completely (dough was sticking to EVERYTHING). But somehow I made them work, and they ended up tasting great. The icing was easy and good. Next year I want to find some smaller cutters, though. These made the cookies so big that I only had about 2 dozen to show for all that hard work.

Homemade Oreos
I took it upon myself to make Christmas Oreos from scratch including the cookie part and filling. The white chocolate topping is just chips I melted down in a double boiler. The filling is pretty easy to though--tastes just like normal Oreo filling: shortening, powdered sugar, vanilla, and gelatin. The hard part is the cookie itself and making sure they are the right thickness and shape.
