How to be a Flickr Rockstar:
You want to be a rockstar, but your friends know you aren't?
The people on Flickr don't know you. So here's a quick guide on how to be a Flickr rockstar.
Step #1 Lock the doors, last thing you want is for your mates to walk in.
Step #2 Position the camera down low so it is not so obvious that you took the photo.
Step #3 Grab an instrument. Normally you wouldn't have an electric guitar (since you are not really a rockstar). In my case I had an electric guitar - I've seen people use a hardcore mandoline instead. This would suffice.
Step #4 Make sure you have some visible tattoos. As you can see I don't have any. However, I hear that it is really "Gansta". No tattoos? Well that's what Photoshop's for, right?
Step #5 Hold your instrument really low. FACT: The lower the more rock you look. Too high and it screams high-school jazz band.
Step #6 Use a high ISO when taking the photo. ISO has a direct relation to what type of rocker you are. ISO 100 = Jonas Brothers, ISO 1600 = Radiohead, ISO3200+ = Some death metal band.
Step #7 Last and probably the most important step, in being a Flickr rockstar, is make sure you have lights behind you to get that really nice bokeh effect Flickr loves! (I know, the photo you see above has no bokeh. Stay tuned for more, which will incorporate all the important steps, including tattoo, bokeh, etc).
There you have it. Before you know it you will be fighting off the groupies!
Rounds of Zucchini and Eggplant for the Confit Byaldi. No Mandoline in our new Apt, so M cut the veg by hand with a knife.
after watching the movie Ratatouille M wanted to make a dish like the one in the movie...but we didn't have all the ingredients...or maybe he just decided to make this dish (Confit Byaldi )...in any case he made Confit Byaldi . it was good. stay tuned for the result tomorrow (I'm too tired to look through the rest of the photos...) goodnight! it's 9:30pmish...I'm off to bed ! =P
OH. we're also testing out this dish because we're going to have a house warming party and our friend J doesn't eat meat. =) But M made it because he's been wanting to make it for awhile.
this was also our first cooked meal at our new place.
BTW, it took about 3 hours to make...well prep and cooking time. =P
