I'm moving tomorrow!

I'm moving tomorrow!

I was in my new place a few days ago to clean it, which was when I took this. Tonight, I had an all-night-long packing adventure and I'm absolutely exhausted. I'm also a little stressed out because when I talked to the Arlington last week about reserving the freight elevator for Saturday, they told me, "Oh yeah, that'll be fiiiiine!" Then when I called today to give them a time frame, I got, "Well, someone else has it reserved later in the day, so we should be able to have them come in earlier for you." I don't like "should." I'm sure it'll work out though, what are they gonna do, let my couch chill in the parking lot?

I think the worst part about packing has been the dust. I honestly can't take any more dust. I've been sneezing like crazy and my eyes are killing me and my nose is filled with snot. However, I have found a way to make moving not depressing (because usually looking at bare walls and boxes really f-s with my mental state). All I've done is made sure the living room has stayed completely in order. The kitchen and bedroom are beyond screwed, but I have this one room to retreat to, and that makes my brain feel good. I plan on doing the same thing in the new place - getting the living room in order as quickly as possible. As long as I have that I'll be a happy camper.

But it's all going to be SO EXCITING. Josh and Aaron are coming to visit tomorrow, and they'll be able to walk to my place from Aaron's place. This is blowing my mind.

I've been listening to Vienna's "One Bedroom One Bath" pretty much non-stop, because it's like she wrote it about my new place... huzzah!!!

One bedroom one bath, hardwood floors with view of trees
One bedroom one bath, parking space for extra fee...
:D

Hopefully the rest of the song won't be accurate though.

365 Days: Day 66

365 Days: Day 66

For my 365 Days (self portrait) pic tonight, I'm wearing my favourite oversized baggy sweater, laying on the floor (I should enjoy my carpet while I can - the new apartment has hardwood floors!) watching Friends with my best friend Gwen, who is sitting out of the shot. I had my hair trimmed with some more layers put in to make it a little lighter (I have thick hair!) The hairstylist told me that I should chop it to shoulder length because long hair isn't "doing anything for you" ---- screw her, I like my hair. I also got my nails cleaned up at another place, purchased Norah Jones' new album, Eddie Murphy's classics Raw and Delirious (which I used to own on vhs years ago) and saved 15 bucks for later, which I'll get 'round to 'splaining myself in the next posted photo from last night.
