Strobist: 430EX fired by optical trigger from on-camera pop-up flash, both gelled with CTO for incandescent white balance, with a domestic incandescent ceiling spot above.
Black towel, white paper around and main flash upward, partly through one sheet this side, and bouncing back off the other sheet on the far side, giving the white specular reflection on the blades, and partly bounced back from a silver umbrella to left rear above, and part of the ceiling.

I can see how to improve in detail but doubt I'll have time now.
Seen along Shinkyogoku street. This is the kind of thing that still shows up in Japan from time to time. If you complained about it, I'd bet people would actually be very surprised you found it offensive. It just doesn't occur to them, and I can kind of understand - for the vast majority of the population, this has no greater meaning than as an advertisement....
