35 mm film is the basic film gauge most commonly used for chemical still photography (see 135 film) and motion pictures, and remains relatively unchanged since its introduction in 1892 by William Dickson and Thomas Edison, using film stock supplied by George Eastman.

The standard film gauge for films intended to be shown in cinemas. Depending on the film stock being used, 35mm film is capable of producing an image of sufficient detail to fill even a large cinema screen.

A small format film, with an image size of 24 x 36mm available in 12, 24 or 36 exposures. It is the most commonly used film size, but does not offer the quality of medium or large format, because this small negative must be enlarged quite a bit in the darkroom loosing it's clarity and sharpness.

With either automatic or manual focus and exposure, the Maxxum 9 provides flexibility and creative control. It is responsive to your intentions; you can make fine adjustments to the automatic settings or comprehensive changes to the individual systems. With the special data memory function, you'll never worry about developing your photographs at the wrong exposure. The Maxxum 9 stores up the data of up to seven rolls of 36 exposures on aperture, lens focal length, shutter speed, and more.

Fred the Rapper folds into my old Holga K-100 35mm analog camera

I took out my old analog cameras today and Fred the Rapper naturally had to be there, as well - just to examine the cameras with his professional eye. However, when I turned away for just one second, Fred the Rapper revealed his real plan: he just wanted to see if he could fold into any of the cameras. Since I didn't open the film compartments on any of the cameras (luckily!), the only place for him to fold into was in the Holga's viewfinder. Naturally, he got stuck in there (serves him right!), so it took me ages to get him out - just after I made this photo, of course :-)
