Only you can prevent BBQ fires
When Tiki Torches go bad...
I was having a BBQ on Saturday evening, and we were all out on the front porch, when my neighbors came and started frantically waving, and letting us know my back yard was on fire. Running back there, I found a whole section of planter bed up in flames.
One of the Tiki Torches must have had some kind of explosion, and caught the pole on fire, and the wick/fuel portion tumbled down. Luckily I caught it when I did, otherwise I might be in the market for a new deck (or house) right about now.
Lesson to be learned, kids: always have a charged fire extenguisher ready for action.
