The design of the IKEA cupboards does not allow for a counter top with an overhang. Well of course we did not know this and bought counter with a 3/4" overhang! To make the counter work with the cabinets I had to add a 3/4" board on top of the cupboards to raise the counter high enough to allow the drawers/doors to open.
This is an axle counter and is used to detect the presence and passage of trains. This one is used for training purposes at the Clapham training school.
