Flower Power Hanging Cosmetic Bag

The Hanging Cosmetic Bag makes viewing and accessing your cosmetics a breeze. Vintage pink satin quilted bunting bag for baby or doll
This vintage pink satin quilted bunting bag with hood for baby or large doll was made and hand embroidered in Quebec by Lacasse Fiset. I would say this bag dates from the 1960s or earlier.
The bunting bag is made from soft pink satin with a metal zipper 2/3 of the way down the front. It is entirely lined with soft pink cotton flannel. There is a roomy insert at the bottom and an attached hood with cord drawstring around the face opening. The opening is finished with plain satin binding that also continues down the front of the bag on either side of the zipper and ties at the neck with a big bow.
The right front side is appliqued with a white plush stork and hand embroidered with the letters “BeBe” hanging by strings from the beak. The Bs are in blue and the es in pink. of course BeBe is baby in French!
The stork stands on bits of green embroidery with a few French knots in pink and yellow to represent flowers.
The bunting bag measures 25” long from the neck down by 17” wide, the hood adds another 9 inches.
The bunting bag is in excellent condition the satin is shiny and soft, the exterior is free of any damage, and is clean except for two short pale yellow lines.
On the inside I saw a faint yellow line on the hood and some pale yellow on the lining of the body more a result of age than use.
This is a wonderful vintage garment for the new baby for use in a pram or cot. It would also look lovely displayed with a vintage wicker pram, or large doll bed.
It will take you back to the time when babies were dressed like babies not miniature adults.
