Zanbot Vs. Space Warrior
Como me aburria de nuevo he fotografiado un combate entre dos de mis robots. El gran tipo rojo se llama Space Warrior y es un 'mech' chino version pirata de varios modelos de Gundam, fabricado con mucho morro pero que les ha quedado bastante resulton. El grandote de la espada es el mitico Zanbot 3, protagonista de 'Muteki Choujin Zanbot 3', una serie de dibujos animados japonesa de la epoca dorada de los robots gigantes, finales de los 70. Se trata del tipico combi japones, precedente de los Transformes y sobre todo de las maquinas de series como Bioman o los Zords de los Power Rangers, y esta compuesto por tres maquinas, manejada cada una por sus respectivos pilotos. La parte de la cabeza es Zanbot Ace, un robot humanoide; el torso y los brazos es Zanbull, se transforma en una especie de vehiculo blindado de superficie y las piernas se convierten en Zanbird, una aeronave. Todo el conjunto se transforma en Zanbot 3, un super robot de unos veinte metros de altura del estilo de Mazinger Z.

Zanbot 3 was an 'anime' character from the 'Mutekin Choujin Zanbot 3' series (1977-1978). Known by many as 'the father of the Transformers', is a Super Robot -like Mazinger Z-, a combination of three mechs, Zanbot Ace -head section-. Zanbull -chest and arms-, and Zanbird -legs-.

At the height of popularity, you could buy these special Ranger Packs with the entire team. It was the same Astro Ranger figure you could buy separately but it was cooler to buy them in this big box! Most of the box sets were a Toys R Us exclusive.
