BATHWICK TYRES TROWBRIDGE

Back in 1957 this 1950 Ford received all the custom cool tricks of the day at a cost of $700.00 a big amount at that time. Rounded hood corners, fully shaved of all ornaments and handles, frenched 52 Mercury headlight doors, frenched 52 Meteor taillamps, moulded 1950 Meteor grille shell, bumperettes removed and rear bumper license bracket added, moon hubcaps, dummy spots and a California rake stance with dual exhaust. I purchased this car from a local car dealer at after it was traded in with damage to the left front corner. That's when I learned that after moulding on a replacement Merc headlight door that you needed to reverse the headlight pot so you could change the seal beams from behind after removing the front tire. A replacement flathead to rid it of an oil smoker and a bright red refinish it was a great ride during the summer of '61. These are the only two pictures I have of the car, however I did build a model of it back then and still have it. Photo taken in the Summer of 1961 in Stratford Ontario Canada.
