Jeremy Lamb leads UConn to 81-67 conquer DePaul in first round of Large East tournament
 CONNECTICUT HUSKIES 81, DEPAUL BLUE Devils 67 Jeremy Lamb obtained 25 points and Ryan Boatright added 19 to guide Connecticut for an 81-67 victory over DePaul on Tuesday within the opening round from the Large East tournament. The ninth-seeded Huskies (19-12) will have eighth-seeded West Virginia within the second round on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden. Connecticut, the protecting Large East tournament and national champion, had coach Jim Calhoun back around the bench for that second game. He'd back surgery just eight days ago after missing eight games, which the Huskies won only three. |
