This beautiful and practical book book unveils the secrets of the French art of flower arranging as explained by two of Paris's most successful florists.

The owners of the popular Parisian floral-design shop Milles Feuilles, Pierre Brinon and Philippe Landri, have a love of flowers that is inseparable from their passion for interior decoration. They peppered their shop with antiques, linens, and objets and covered every available surface with gorgeous flower arrangements. Then they decided to celebrate the shop's 10th anniversary by sharing the secrets of their floral wizardry in the form of this luscious volume, which they have filled with enchanting creations. The rich photographs do justice to the designs, showcasing not only the arrangements but their well-chosen backdrops as well. Taking a seasonal approach, Brinon and Landri demonstrate what can be accomplished at each time of the year, from a romantic spring bouquet of lilacs and peonies or a summer centerpiece of enameled jugs filled with sunflowers, cornflowers, and santolina to a fall cluster of berries, rosehips, and dahlias, or a winter posy of dried hydrangeas topped with velvety white roses. The centerpiece of this group is a large white rose. It is made from hundreds of seed beads in a white alabaster color that have been strung and wrapped on magenta wire. I love how this rose turned out. It's got a very subtle pink tone with bright pink 'seams' showing between the beads. There are three leaves attached to it's 8.5" stem.

The rose is complimented by three flowers of my own design that are made from magenta colored seed beads with a mother of pearl center. They each have a 9" stem.

This arrangement is for my sister's birthday. It all started with her favorite flower, the yellow snapdragon. I then added an orange snapdragon, a stem of common flax, and 3 sweetheart roses. There's about 75 hours of work in this arrangement!

While writing books, Charles maintains a retail shop in Tulsa, and has launched a fabric line, The Charles Faudree Collection, for Vervain. In 2002 he was named one of America's top 100 designers. He lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Toni Garner opened her Tulsa flower shop 24 years ago and has collected awards for her innovative floral designs, and has appeared in publications including Veranda, Architectural Digest, and Traditional Home as well as all of Charles Faudree's books. She has been honored as Oklahoma Designer of the Year and has been named Oklahoma Magazine's "Best Florist" for 10 years running.
