Teenage Love Affair

Teenage Love Affair

Check it: I’m Zsa-Zsa. Some call me arrogant, but I call it confidence. You decide when you find out what I’m working with.
First things first—I’m seventeen, but I’m grown and have been for a long time. I have my own ride, my mama doesn’t clock my time, and my boyfriend, Ameen, is getting money like you wouldn’t believe. There’s only one problem: when Ameen gets mad, sometimes he takes his anger out on me. And yeah, maybe I could leave him, but there’s no way Ameen could imagine being without me.
So now I’m all confused, especially since my first love, Malachi, is back in my life. Ameen is not giving up without a fight, and no matter how hard I try, the love I have for Malachi won’t go away. And did I mention that Malachi has a girl? Needless to say, my days are filled with drama. So this is my story and you need to come and chill with me as I try and see what boy is for me, what love is all about, and if my first teenage love affair will forever rule or ruin my life.

Eye For An Eye

Eye For An Eye

Sally Field toplines to good effect as Karen McCann, the mother of a lovely teenage girl who is viciously raped and murdered in her own living room by a grinning psychopath named Robert Doob (Kiefer Sutherland). Unfortunately, the psycho has a great lawyer. Even more unfortunately, the evidence against him is improperly handled by the police. One thing leads to another, the case against the psycho is dismissed -- and the dead girl's grievingparents are told there's nothing more the legal system can do.
A high-concept plot, a hot-button social issue and a hard-charging ad campaign may be enough to generate good opening-weekend numbers for "Eye for an Eye." After that, however, expect a sharp drop for this muddled revenge melodrama, a B movie that somehow won the lottery and got an A-movie cast and director. Vid rentals and other ancillary biz should be OK, but not eye-popping. Mack McCann (Ed Harris), the victim's stepfather, is understandably furious. As time goes by, however, Mack manages to sublimate his rage and frustration, if only so he can preserve his sanity and go on with his life.
But Karen is neither willing nor able to follow her husband's example. At first, she follows Doob, maintaining a surveillance like some TV detective. In time, she actually sees him checking out the home of a potential victim. But the cops can't do anything to stop him, even after he does indeed kill again. That's when Karen begins to notice that, in her support group for parents of murdered children, a couple of the members (Philip Baker Hall, Keith David) may be channeling their rage into retribution, prompting her to think that vigilantism may not be such a bad idea.
Vet director John Schlesinger gives "Eye for an Eye" enough tension and immediacy -- most of the time, at least -- to make this worth a viewer's time. The actual murder of Karen's daughter is presented with a restraint that does little to diminish its power to make the flesh crawl.
Elsewhere, Schlesinger dares to include a few touches of dark humor. As Karen empowers herself with karate lessons and target practice, she grows more aggressive, both on the street and -- much to her husband's discomfort -- in bed. Deep inside this manipulative melodrama, there lurks the germ of an idea for a wickedly funny social satire.
In most other respects, however, Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa's screenplay, taken from a novel by Erika Holzer, is as simplistic as the worst kind of talk-radio diatribe. Doob isn't merely a career criminal or a maladjusted sex offender -- he is the Antichrist. He menaces little girls, murders innocent women and sneers at grieving parents. And just so we don't underestimate the true depths of his maliciousness, Schlesinger even includes a scene in which Doob pours hot coffee on a stray dog. No kidding.
Joe Denillo, the tough but honorable cop played by Joe Mantegna, is no match for such a vile creature. Why? Because, the movie implies, Denillo is hampered by all those namby-pamby Supreme Court decisions about the rights of suspects, and bound by the very laws he has sworn to uphold. When Karen angrily upbraids him for what she sees as his impotence, even bleeding-heart liberals in the audience may be screaming, "Right on!"
To partially appease those liberals, and to keep from unduly ruffling anyone else's feathers, the filmmakers work overtime to cover all their bases. If a white parent in Karen's support group reveals that a black man killed hischild, you can rest assured that we get an equal sampling of black parents with their own tales of woe. In fact, one of those black parents (Charlayne Woodard) turns out to be a lesbian single mother. In all ways, the movie is intended to appeal to the broadest constituency possible.
Except for Field's persuasively anguished performance as a woman who evolves from victim to avenger, the best thing about "Eye for an Eye" is its ending.
There are at least three different points in the pic's second half when the filmmakers appear ready to take the easy way out, but they fortunately reject these detours and proceed to the only honest conclusion for this kind of revenge fantasy.
After the fact, however, Schlesinger and company return to their fence-straddling, and try to sest that maybe revenge isn't really all that sweet.
Harris plays Mack with just the right measures of virility, sensitivity and sensibility, while Mantegna injects a welcome touch of ambiguity into a stock character. Sutherland gives a one-note performance in a one-dimensional role, but that note is sustained with impressive efficiency. Among the other supporting players, Woodard is a standout, thanks to her subtle underplaying and her strong camera presence.
On a tech level, "Eye for an Eye" is everything it has to be, and nothing more. James Newton Howard's score is notable only for the way it sporadically recalls his music for "Grand Canyon."

SABRINA: THE ANIMATED SERIES

PLOT SUMMARY:
Based on the sitcom Sabrina: The Teenage Witch debut on September 27, 1996, Sabrina: The Animated Series is a cartoon show that features Sabrina as a 12 year old middle school student who's just beginning to learn how to use the magical powers she's inherited. Together with her best friends Harvey and Chloe, Sabrina navigates the wild waters of Jr. High, and of secretly coming from a family of witches.

The show was made in 1999. It is the spin-off to Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, the sitcom. This cartoon was completely different from the show itself. It featured our main character Sabrina except as a 12 year-old in Jr. High School just developing her powers. Her best friends are Chloe Flan and Harvey Dwight Kinkle. Chloe is the only mortal that knows that Sabrina is a witch, and Harvey is still Sabrina's secret crush. Together they have many adventures. Her rival is Gem Stone, the equivalent of Libby Chessler from the original show, and is incredibly rich. She still has the same aunts: Hilda and Zelda Spellman except they are teenagers, and she has an additional household member, Uncle Quigley. In this show even though Sabrina has her magic, she relies on a Spookie Jar to sometimes to help her cast spells. All of these characters help make the show as great as it was. Unfortunately Sabrina, the Teenage Witch was still greater so the show ended with only one season of 65 episodes. Though it has ended, it still is a great addition in Sabrina history and Viacom productions. However it wasn't the end for Sabrina: the show was slightly brought back in Oct. 2002 as a Nickelodeon TV-Movie! Sabrina the Animated Series: Friends Forever or Sabrina: Friends Forever.

The So-called "prequel" Spin-off of the hit tv series Sabrina: The Teenage Witch. It only lasted 3 years on TV. She still had her Aunt's Hilda and Zelda Spellman, except they are teenagers who take care of the tweenage Sabrina, who is 12 years old in this Spin-off! Sabrina is voiced by Emily Hart-Melissa Joan's little sis. This cartoon is completely different from the show itself. It featured our main character Sabrina except in Jr. High School just developing her powers and Harvey is still Sabrina's secret crush and her best friend. Her other best friend is Chloe Flan. Chloe is the only mortal that knows that Sabrina is a witch, Together they have many adventures. Her rival is Gem Stone, the equivalent of Libby Chessler from the original show, and is incredibly rich. Sabrina also has an additional Uncle named Quigley. Unfortunately Sabrina, the Teenage Witch was still greater so the show ended with only one season of 65 episodes. Though it has ended it still is a great addition in Sabrina history and Viacom productions. However it wasn't the end for Sabrina: the show was slightly brought back in Oct. 2002 as a Nickeldeon TV-Movie! Sabrina currently airs on the The WB mornings and Toon Disney.

Sabrina: The Animated Series (title shown as Sabrina, the Animated Series in opening credits) is an American animated television series based on the Archie Comics character Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. It was produced by DIC Entertainment, which was owned by Disney at the time. The cartoon series is a spin-off of the popular live action series that ran on ABC (also owned by Disney). Later, a movie Sabrina: Friends Forever and a spin-off series Sabrina's Secret Life were produced by DiC, this time without the ownership of Disney. The show is currently airing on CBS' Cookie Jar TV.

The series debuted in 1999. The Archie Comics star had already graced the Saturday morning airwaves in the 1970s (courtesy of Filmation), but the popularity of the live-action Sabrina, the Teenage Witch sitcom in the 1990s formed part of the basis for this spin-off series. Unlike previous versions, Sabrina in this series was depicted as a 12-year-old attending middle school. As in the original comic series, Sabrina lives with her two aunts, Hilda and Zelda Spellman, and Salem Saberhagen, Sabrina's sarcastic cat, all of whom advise Sabrina on the use of her powers (thereby contradicting the live-action show's premise of not having those powers prior to her sixtee
