Fairy Nursery Decor

Button Fairy Available - Yellow and Orange

This one-of-a-kind button fairy is made with nine buttons - many of which are vintage ones from a local antique shop.
The buttons are "sewn" together with a heavy wire, yet flexible enough so you can form the fairy's tail in any shape you want.
The wings are made with watercolor paper that I hand painted using the wet-on-wet watercolor technique. There are a variety of shades of yellow and orange.
The wings are embellished with a light covering of clear glitter. There are a few flakes of gold, silver, and blue glitter as well.
The face is a vintage image of a girl wearing a pretty floral crown. I hand-colored the flowers in shades of orange and yellow, her eyes and flower stems are green, and her lips are red.
The button fairy can be hung from the wire hanger wherever you want a touch of magic and whimsy!

Harvested from a collection of images of childhood from a time long gone by, this sweet vintage print is in wonderful condition with crisp edges and corners. 93 years later, the colors are still fresh and sweet.
