Indian Jewelry Cabinet
As some of you may have read on our blog JewelryTutorial.blogspot.com, we draw our influences from a diverse panoply of sources. We often add to our collection for the specific purpose of studying a piece. This large antique jewelry chest from India is just such an item. It is very old and the artistry is exquisite. The interior features a a series of drawers all elaborately decorated, as are the inside panels of the doors. We acquired the piece from associates at a Southern California museum and feel fortunate to have gotten it. The best part is that we can touch it and study it to our heart's content.
