Outside air flowing through the vehicle's ventilation system can expose passengers to road dust and pollen. FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filters can filter 98% of these contaminants (particles ranging from 5-100 microns). The FRAM Fresh Breeze cabin air filter is an easy to install air filter that both filters and deodorizes the air drawn into your vehicle, as well as improves available airflow critical to the efficient workings of air conditioning and heating systems. What is a Cabin Air Filter?
Not nearly as well-known as familiar oil and standard air filters, many drivers may never even have heard of a cabin air filter. Usually located either inside the passenger compartment near the glove compartment, or under the hood near the windshield, they are used to filter air drawn into your car from the outside for the comfort of passengers, as well as for use by air conditioning and heating systems. I took Pearly Lee to the shop Sunday, for her 120K Mile Tune up. They say that you should do this upkeep to avoid costly repairs in the future. So why does the upkeep cost $630?

She got: oil change, oil filter, 2 wiper blades on the front and a wiper on the back, a tune up with new spark plugs, a coolant flush with sealer and conditioner, anti-freeze, a new cabin air filter, a vehicle inspection, a front brake adjustment, replacing the alternator drive belt and fixing the air filter box.

They were so impressed by the filth of the cabin air filter that they wanted to show it to me. When I turned the heat this morning, I actually got a dose of new filter smell. I swear it feels like she rides higher, though I don't know what would cause that feeling. I hope she's happier, because that took a big bite out of my Emergency Fund. And I should add that she's now safer and ready for my cross country road trip in April. I'm ready for a vacation and antsy to see the country.

I want to say that the last time I changed it was after the San Diego Wildfires of 2007. I hope I changed it after the fires. It's a lot cheaper to buy and install it myself. $12.99 on Amazon versus $60 or more at the dealership.
