Backlit Wireless Keyboard
- A keyboard which sends data to a host computer without relying on a physical cord. Most wireless keyboards today employ radio waves, frequently using Bluetooth technology.
- Illuminate from behind
- Refers to a remote control, or on projector control panel, that has buttons and controls that are illuminated. This is a major asset when using the projector in a darkened or semi-darkened room.
- When the subject is illuminated from behind (eg by the sun), it may be under-exposed unless the photographer compensates for this by adjusting the camera settings. Sometimes, however, this is a desirable effect.
- A backlight is a form of illumination used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs). As LCDs do not produce light themselves (unlike for example Cathode ray tube (CRT) displays), they need illumination (ambient light or a special light source) to produce a visible image.
After labeling the Number Pad on the Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard to be a FrogPad, I punched holes in my keycap stickers so the backlit keys shine through. I need Clear Keycaps to illuminate the whole key, not just the cutouts, but Logitech doesn't make them. They also have many of their key scissors mounted upside-down, and Tech Support blew it off.
